Development of a Heap Leaching Simulator for the Minerals Industry

For 36 months

Heap leaching is a process of extracting ore. It grows rapidly due to the use of lower operating costs and investment costs compared with conventional extraction methods. The key to improving this process to accurately predict performance of the pole design and strategy to make the swim. To this end, accurate and efficient simulation of heap leaching is needed. This project involves integrating new continuum description of the unsaturated flow of liquid through a packed bed models for reaction kinetics, mass transfer and heat transfer in the stack to a complete simulation of the process to produce. It is used for different designs and explore strategies pile driving.
