Rules of Unpaid Internships clarified by Labor Department

To address the concern that some employers may use the opportunity for university students wishing to work for them without charges, the U.S. These rules come into law the Fair Labor Standards, which also sets the minimum wage, overtime and standards of youth employment. Where students gain experience for their future careers, but do not pay, and often no credit, even college.

Department of Labor has published a set of rules on Wednesday to clarify the roles of employers and students colleges. Many fields of study require or strongly suggest summer semester or duty, or education, practices. According to the Ministry of Labour, internships can be paid if they meet six criteria:
